HSBC LoginHSBC Holdings is flying the flag for Britain on the global banking stage, currently ranking as the 3rd largest bank for assets and the 9th largest for market cap. Here in the UK they are leading the way and you also have to factor in the business accounted through First Direct and also M&S Bank that is a 50/50 partnership. The roots of this banking giant heads back to 1865 and today they have 6100 offices worldwide with around 1100 of these being local. As you can see, Britain is not their only focus, with great importance being directed at the Americas, Asia and other parts of Europe. Collectively, they operate in 73 countries and territories and have notched up more than 51 million customers.

The Lloyds Banking Group is the closest competitor when factoring financials. For web products such as personal loans Barclays just edge them out. Whilst there is a giant branch network at play here, future success will depend on how they can adapt and thrive in the online space. This is an area at this time dominated by Tesco Bank. There has been wide debate surrounding the future of First Direct who have been losing traction in recent years. M&S Bank is however fairing well with their upmarket outlets proving popular with the British public. The core business delivers a diverse product range and praise is always warranted for their customer support that runs 7 days a week from 8am until 10pm.

The HSBC login facility built into has historically required the usage of a Digital Secure Key. They have been a bit behind the times in this regard, but new changes rolled out will enable limited functionality without the key. You will be able to for instance check your balances, make transfers, process payments etc once basic security details are entered. Personal loans were only available to existing banking customers who benefit from immediate payouts. They have however now extended to cover everyone. Another positive change has seen them offer an impressive low rate of just 3.3% APR. M&S heads the same rate, but they are just a few pence cheaper on that side.
