Kayak Login Review | www.kayak.co.uk

About:

Kayak LoginKayak was founded back in 2004 by Paul English and Steve Hafner. Other owned brands are Checkfelix and Swoodoo. This American company was acquired by The Priceline Group in 2013. This brought them into the same family as a number of established brands, the most well known being Booking.com. This service pulls data from 100s of travel sites to bring you the best prices on car hire, flights and hotels. Coverage extends to more than 30 countries and each year they claim to process over 1 billion queries. Their free mobile app has been downloaded over 40 million times. Brand awareness in the UK has improved drastically since they began running nationwide TV ad campaigns.

Competitors:

An unusual approach taken here is that other than showing their own results they display external links to other sites where you can compare their results. Seeing Agoda and Booking.com listed was no surprise since they are now under the same group. You wouldn’t however expect them to link out to the likes of Expedia, Hotels.com and LowCostHolidays. It would be likely that they have affiliate partnerships in place with these companies where they’ll be compensated for successful leads. Some key travel sites like Kayak include the likes of Skyscanner, TravelSupermarket and Trivago. The increased focus on TV ads is aiding growth, but they’ll need to ramp this up to become the market leader.

Login:

Their primary site is www.kayak.com. They do however use the local address of www.kayak.co.uk. It makes sense for them to use a localised TLD to boost their presence in Google UK. You can use their search tool without signing up. The Kayak login is advised for anyone that uses them frequently for their price alerts. You can choose to signin with Facebook or by Google if you’d prefer. With a major focus on tech, there are some nifty touches seen on searches undertaken. They for instance throw up small notifications that alerts you on how many people are viewing deals in the location you are checking out.
